Chinese Miracle Expectorant Drink

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon dried mullein leaf (known for its lung-cleansing properties)
  • 1 tablespoon licorice root (a traditional expectorant and throat soother)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (fresh or dried, helps clear the lungs and has anti-inflammatory benefits)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (soothes the throat and helps with coughing)
  • 1 teaspoon black seed oil (Nigella sativa) (supports immune function and lung health)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chinese star anise (used in traditional remedies for respiratory health)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (boosts vitamin C and helps clear mucus)
  • 3 cups water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Herbal Base:
    • In a small pot, add the dried mullein leaf, licorice root, ginger, and star anise to the 3 cups of water.
    • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 15–20 minutes.
  2. Strain the Herbs:

    • Stir in the honey while the infusion is still warm to dissolve it.
    • Add the lemon juice and black seed oil, stirring well to combine.
  4. Drink:
